The Bayh-Dole Act at 25

Evolved Media wrote "The Bayh-Dole Act at 25," a 46-page white paper for the nonprofit BayhDole25.org, examining the historical origins, legislative history, benefits, influences, and threats to the landmark 1980 U.S. legislation allowing educational institutions, businesses and nonprofits to retain intellectual property control of inventions that resulted from federal funding.

The project is of personal importance to Evolved Media founder and CTO Dan Woods, who has launched several technology companies. Together with Susan Finston and Al Chakrabarty, Woods founded the educational and research organization BayhDole25.org to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the passage of the Bayh-Dole Act and advocate for its continued implementation.
