Cisco White Paper on Enterprise Transformation and Network Architecture

Evolved Media created a white paper for Cisco Systems that examined the role of network architecture as an enabler for business transformation.

The Project

Cisco Systems is the leading networking technology and services company in the world. In January of 2007, Cisco engaged Evolved Media to create a white paper to explain the crucial role of network architecture as an enabler of business flexibility. With a properly designed and implemented network, a business has many more operational and strategic choices. With a network designed as a static information pipe, choices can be limited. The goal of the white paper was to communicate the dimensions of a successful architecture using Cisco's concept of Service Oriented Network Architecture.

Evolved Media's Role

Following Evolved Media's general principle of marketing through education, the team working on the paper decided to pursue experts outside of Cisco to add their insight to the explanation provided. Several CTOs and CIOs were interviewed and quoted in the paper. Experts inside and outside of Cisco were interviewed. The content creation process took 12 weeks at a leisurely pace with substantial time spent on review and polishing.

The Result

The result was a paper that is currently featured on the Services home page of Cisco.com under the title Understand the Roadmap for Migrating to an Enterprise Architecture.
