Field Services Guide for Intellectual Property Consultants
Evolved Media crafted a guidebook for a Fortune 500 software and professional services company's consulting managers, detailing issues and revenue-building opportunities these managers could expect to encounter while dealing with clients’ intellectual property (IP) cases.
The Project
Evolved Media was contracted to create a "bite-sized" version of a much larger field services manual for IP consultants at the professional services company. The document was to capture the change in client culture from building massive, custom-developed networks to executing smaller projects with low total cost of ownership (TCO). The guide had to convey in a handful of pages all of the important maxims in the larger field-services manual, while capturing the essence of contemporary issues that would face field consultants, and offering a meaningful response to those issues. The ultimate goal was retention of the maximum protection of IP created by the professional services company as a result of the execution of consulting engagements. Evolved Media's team reviewed the existing field services materials, conducted additional research into the current state of IP consulting, and interviewed several of the client’s team to create the guide.
The Result
IP consultants now head into meetings with the confidence that they have the major issues in hand and under control, allowing them to position the conversation in a way that is most advantageous to their employer and their client.
