Lost in Translation: A Handbook for Information Systems in the 21st Century
Lost in Translation is a useful and engaging book about the difficulties business managers and IT managers have in communicating with each other.
Instead of tolerating a gulf between people who speak business or IT, the book proposes as a solution a simple, clear and concise meta-language, dubbed VPEC-T, that allows the two camps to work together constructively. Evolved Media executed the book in collaboration with authors Nigel Green and Carl Bate, two thought-leader executives at Capgemini.
The Project
Capgemini is a global consulting, technology, outsourcing and professional services company with more than 83,000 employees. In the space of four months, Evolved Media worked with “IT translators” Green and Bate, Capgemini marketing staff and numerous Capgemini and outside experts to turn a 40-page whitepaper into a 168-page book, complete with illustrations and graphics.
The Result
Lost in Translation is an easy, up-to-the-minute, contemporary read that raises and addresses vital issues of communication and collaboration (or lack thereof) between IT and business leaders. The book is currently available through Lithandbook.com and Amazon.
